So, I tend to be very careful upon whom I actually push this series. Its main character is angsty and emo (not altogether unsurprising, given that his life is occasionally ruled by a combination of Murphy's Law and the Kobayashi Maru) and it's one of the few series layniek and I strongly disagreed on in high school. I've been finding that most of the fantasy genre (yes, I know this is sci fi) is depression between two covers. So far its not quite as wrist slashing as George R R Martin's monstrosities

True, there are a lot of authors who go the emo, angsty route in fantasy nowdays. I look forward to seeing what you think of this particular journey. <3
