Why can't I download Addiction.... bhiku June 23 2006, 19:44:50 UTC
All I have at home is (...gasp...) DIAL-UP and it would take fer-evuh. So I want to download from high-bandwidth at work and put it on my flash drive.
Let me download Phase 7, why not Addiction?

The tunes posted on myspace are great. Don't take this wrong but reminds me of Peter Gabriel on the Secret World concert video. And Brandi's vocals do remind me of Paula Cole. Also I agree, midrange freqs. are kindy crowded, needs space or Rob switch to strat or at least an AC30 amp model patch for more sparkle/highs. Also you guys need more dynamics-i.e. loud followed by soft passages to add dramatic tension and release.

What time y'all doin' the video? Open to public? Open to spiritual and musical advisors with gray beards?

Well, originally, I didn't want our songs downloaded because they aren't mastered... I was going to wait until we had good copies. But then Brandy needed a copy of Phaze 7, so I thought the easiest way would be for her to download it off myspace and we never took of the download function.

I don't think it's a bad thing to sound like Peter Gabriel... even though i was hoping for originality points. Oh well... I never listened to much Peter Gabriel so, I still think we sound original.

And we were recording between 1 and 3 today. I would have said come on down, but I didn't get your response until now... sorry.

I'll change the download function tonight, so you should be able to get a copy tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks for checkin out the page and for the support. =)

I didn't phrase that very well. I like Peter Gabriel, not a huge fan, but I did really enjoy the concert video. I just didn't want you to be offended if you didn't like PG (hey an old guy doesn't know what's cool and what's square to you young'uns.)

Also I only had a minute or two for quick listen at work; I really liked what I heard. You see, I've been imagining what you guys sound like for months now, based on what I know of Rob's playing, you very good description a few months back, and comments from Langen, Brandi, Lori and other in LJs.

And my other other observations were pretty general, I'd need more than two songs to get a good feel for what E.X.E. is all about and what, if anything, needs tweaking. I just want you folks to make it and have a blast doing it.

Don't know why I always ask about attending stuff you kids are doing when I know that its not practical. Maybe someday.

Keep cookin' dem tunes.
