As far as she can see, there are two types of family: the one you get when you're born, and the one you find when you're grown. Her parents were the best kind of people, kind and loving, gone too soon and it has occurred to her that the people that she surrounds herself with are the ones who could also leave her too soon. Which doesn't stop her loving them and doesn't mean she'd ever change a thing, even if she could.
So she'll love them even after they're gone.
