Its been a hot day. Found it hard to do much. Luckily there have been some interesting programmes on the History Channel. Today I saw an interesting BBC documentary 'Nikita Khrushchev, the Peasant Premier', about the Soviet leader from 1953 to 1964. They called him a man of contradictions. NZ is the best part of a day ahead of the US. It's been Saturday here for nearly 2 hours as I write this.

I'm in the UK, current time: 13:00 Friday January 30th.

hadn't realised the time tifference was that pronounced, but then I should have realised that NZ is on almost the exact oppposite side of the world from the UK

Pretty close to it -- I think our actual geographical antipodes is in Spain. Issues such as Daylight Savings Time also come into play, of course.
