Visit to Timaru to see Nan and catching up with the cuzzies

On Sunday I went with Mum down to Timaru to visit my Nan in her rest home. I had not seen her since before I went away overseas for 15 months - so I was quite looking forward to seeing how she was. I like this entry. I can't say why except that I like the writing style. Your non-fiction is so clear when you develop a scene. That's why I look forward to your travel journals.

I understand the weird feeling you speak of at the party. I'm not good at small talk, especially when I'm thinking deeply about recent events (such as your visit with your grandmother). I find myself weirding people out by trying to talk about deeper things, and then I feel strange myself for attempting to. Then I become quiet and quietly observe. :>

I was just reading in Bair's biography on Jung that when the group of like minded introverts decided to set up a psychological society, it worked well at first; -- but then people reverted to their introverted tendencies and started staying in their rooms. :>
