A bit o' silliness gleaned from notabu. I'm not entirely certain I see much resemblance to any of these characters...other than the fact I used to repeatedly shout "Oy" while playing AC-DC's TNT with garage bands as a teenager.
As I think you know, Donna (my wife, of course) teases me by saying the same damned thing. I'm sure there are more, but here are a few that picture ol' Raffaele (one of my personal heroes, by the way):
Ahlert, D. & B. Schwab. 1998. Raffaele Calace: Werke fur Mandoline und Gitarre. Musicom, CD 020407
( ... )
...and to the list of CD liner notes with photos of Calace, add: Stephens, A. & S. Devine. 2007. Raffaele Calace (1863-1934): Mandolin Concertos nos. 1 and 2/Rapsodia Napoletana. Naxos, 8.570434.
Just released yesterday and I just picked up my copy tonight. I love Alison's perfectly clean, controlled technique.
