Last week, I was surprised by a call I made to the insurance company of the driver who struck my son and destroyed my Saturn SL at the beginning of the month. I tend to make fun of gadget-laden phones, but fortunately (in this case) my son is into such junk and took heaps of detailed photos at the scene. My initial e-mail to the team leader on

Indeed. At least it looks like repairs are going forward beginning Monday. They expect it to take ca. 1.5 weeks to complete.

I didn't realize that the accident happened right next to our bank branch.

Big, poor-visibility SUVs and Dublin's preponderance of curvey non-orthogonal street & driveway routings.
A bad combination, but currently inevitable.

Finally, it took some effort, but all is now approved and my wee car should start on the 1.5-week repair process this very day.
