Feeling on a bit of a posting roll, my quirky, anonymous, East German, speculative vihuela was recently rebuilt by local luthier Chad Neal. Frankly, this is the first this instrument has ever been a real, playable piece, and I am overjoyed with it. My new userpic is a teaser from the instrument. Interesting tale of restoration. What's the scale length you ended up with? I gather that "it all works" which is handy.

Scale went from ca. 59 cm to ca. 63. It all works quite nicely and sounds great.
