for the time being i have given up attempting to retreive the information off my primary slave drive. remember the time that kept going up? well, it kept going up! when i stopped spinrite running it was after 131 hours which had completed 3.8% of the drive and estimated it would finish in another 2900 hours. on most days after running for 12 ( Read more... )

in our last episode i was running a program to attempt to ressurect my primary slave drive. the program estimated the breathing life back into the drive would take approximately 30 hours. i went to bed and awoke to the new estimate of around 200 hours. for the next several days each time i looked at it the estimate had ballooned grotesquely. I’ve been at the new job about a week and a half now. I think I like it alright. I do product photography and IT support. I’ve had a kerbillion jobs but this is my first job of this type.
