Fanatically religious and incredibly superstitious? Are you sure? I 'd rather say logical, practical, focused, well-organized and self-disciplined.
I am not sure why the Chinese need or have to change or adjust...They got thousands years of history and culture, they had cities and literature, and invented ink and gun powder even before Europe became inhibited by primitive nomadic tribes of barbarians, and when America was just one big wild forest.
And at present being the most populated and the fastest developing country in the world China is doing extremely well. If they continue this way there is a big possibility that the rest of the world will have to change, adapt and adjust to the Chinese way of life.
It is not about the book anyway, just about China:)
