The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe was a couple nights ago. I actually liked it alot. My family has different feelings. Maybe it's just because I had very loww expectations for the book to movie. However, there were obviously some flaws with the movie and some really weird interpretations.
Alright then, where do I begin?
Was it just me or was there some sort of creepy foreshadowing of a Tumnus x Lucy romance? Thank goodness the only hinted as much as they did. It's a little scary. I wonder what there kids would look like.... or how they would even concieve! Tumnus is kinda...erm...has no junk.
I really disliked the witch. Oh my goodness. She was a horrible actress! Very mona-tone and not scary/creepy in the % I believe the only time she raised her voice was once at Edmund in the castle, but the rest of the time she was very quite. Which I think it was a good idea to play the quite bit, BUT there was no sense of creepy/I-could-kill-you-at-any-moment, so it didn't work at all. Also, this may seems mean, but the Queen was uuuuugly. In the book she was supposed to be the most beautiful woman most men will ever see in there life time. Yeah, I'm sorry but does this really look like the prettiest thing you will ever see? *points down*
I'm sorry, but NO. And why was she again (with dread-locks none the less)? I think she would have been so much more striking with dark dark hair. *sigh* As you can see I was very disappointed about the Queen. I liked it when Aslan ate her face off though.
This part made me laugh at the stupidity of Pevensie children and the Beavers. When they had to cross the icey river before it thawed, why did they just go over it like the wolves did? heh.
Alright, those are the only real big things that struck me as bad. I really did enjoy the movie. The visuals were amazing. Aslan was the most beautiful CG lion that I ever did see. I recommend you see it, if you haven't already.
