Tonight I watched this episode of Squaresville:

When I was 14, I got a random CD at a used bookstore, and I liked it enough to look up the band's tripod webpage and see if they had any more albums. The band was Funland. It looks like they rereleased one of their albums in 2007, according to allmusic. The album with the song on it that I liked so much isn't listed there, but it was called Sweetness. The song I liked was a sappy ballad that is apparently a cover, but I don't know of what; the song title is just "Obligatory Cover." (Fun fact: I was unfamiliar with the term cover when I was a kid, so I thought there was some sort of deeper meaning to it). I still like the song an awful lot.
