Fred the Brown Chapter 2

FRED the Brown was the woodcutter in an obscure Russian fairytale. No-one knew why he was called Fred the Brown, but some speculated that it was because of the colour of the trees when his breath blossomed in the ever-autumnal air, or the rust that covered his face and hands, like children’s tears leaving trails over an ever churning, robotic ( Read more... )

So. You're a friend of in0my0dreams, and because I found your response to his patheimatos-something (forgive the spelling, too lazy to go check) disagreeable (I tend to think depression is not quite as aesthetically pleasant as, for example, total rage/destruction or the things on the other extreme) I decided I'd check your journal. And I liked this particular writing. Not sure about the rest, but you're good. Mind if I add you?

I WAS BEING IRONIC! DEPRESSION IS ABOUT AS AESTHETICALLY PLEASANT AS A HOLE IN THE HEAD.

If you liked this, then sure, go ahead. I was interested by your writing too; it has some similarities to mine. You should join a writing community!

I will be unique among your LJ friends through knowing where the hell Kyrgyzstan actually is (Americans ...).

Peace,

Jonah

I know, I know. I read your reply, wherein you explain how you thought it was amusing to take that stance for once. So I really don't think you're an emo. Or at least, I hope you're not. XD

And Danke! And I am in one. I used to be at write_away, but I left it because I didn't like the clique-ing there. Now I'm at originalit. But it's just as dead now, I guess.

That's interesting. How do you know about it?

Salute,
Me.

Oh, when I was a kid I used to memorise random things. I know it's below Kazakhstan, and its capital is Bishkek, it's mostly Sunni Muslim, and a few other things (Kyrgyz meaning 40 women, as I recall, after the '40 tribes legend'). You, however, I guess to be one of the Volga Germans relocated by Stalin after WW2. Am I right?
