Her eyes landed on an unfamiliar face in the grass and she headed over, deciding to be social for once in her life. With a smile, she stopped close to the other woman. "It's such a nice day out. Do you mind if I join you?" she asked, offering the shoulder laden with blankets to the woman.

"Not at all. Do you need any help spreading that blanket out?"

It was on her way back, she chanced to see two other women setting up blankets on the lawn. She seemed to waver for a moment before heading towards them. "Um..." She didn't even know what to say to try and join them.

Her attention was then drawn to the other woman approaching and she smiled warmly over at this newcomer. "It's so nice out," she called gently. "Why don't you join us? I have blankets we can all use to sit on."
Bending down, she set her books down on the grass and began to lay the blankets out so they all could have one to sit on. Two or three would be left over, even after Lucrecia claimed a second for use as a table for her books.
"I'm Lucrecia Crescent. It's so nice to be able to meet other people."

After hearing the woman's name, Euphie decided it would be polite to introduce herself as well.
"My name's Euphemia. You can call me Euphie, though." Her full name just seemed too formal for a meeting like this.

"Eu-" he choked over her name. He couldn't talk to her...or to Hitomi. Each alone would be a hard enough conversation...together he didn't have a chance.
He cast his eyes down, and rushed through. He didn't care if Euphie and Hitomi saw him, or called to him. He wanted to get back to his dorm, and now.

"We'll have to find something to do for her someday," she murmured to Hitomi as Euphie walked away.
"It really is nice to be outside with people," she commented, smiling over at Hitomi before she went back to marking something up on the paper in front of her.

The scientist was used to a give and take relationship, not one that was purely give. It had been years since she'd had an actual friendship like this.
