Girl time (for Hitomi)

May 20, 2008 07:51

Something had happened to Hitomi as well. Euphie wanted to find out why her new friend was suddenly so different and she would find out, even if that meant having to share her own secrets to get her to open up. Friends trusted each other, after all ( Read more... )

Hitomi had been napping on her bed, with her current inability to sleep she was trying to get rest whenever she could. She was jolted from her nap when she heard a knock at her door.

She padded over to the door, opening it just a crack. She only opened it wider after recognizing Euphie. "Let me help you with that." She took a share of the things Euphie was carrying before ushering her friend into the dorm room.

Euphie smiled and let Hitomi grab a couple of the bags she was carrying. "One pizza is cheese and the other is vegetable. I wasn't sure what you liked." The movies she'd grabbed were all silly, and a few were probably meant for kids.

"I hope I didn't bother you by not calling first."

"You didn't bother me at all." Hitomi said, attempting a small smile. She set down the bags she had taken, giving Euphie time to make her way into the room, before moving back to close the door.

"I hope you didn't have any trouble carrying this all up here though..."

"I walked really slowly so I wouldn't have trouble," she said, smiling at her friend. Euphie quickly glimpsed a strange deck of cards on the desk among Hitomi's other things, and touched them curiously.

She sat down on the bed, grabbed a chocolate cupcake, and opened it. "Are you feeling any better today?"

"Sometimes....it's better not to remember the details. It might be more painful if you did remember."

She went quiet for several short momemts before deciding to speak up again. "I know I wish I didn't remember what happened to me...." And then she was quiet again.

Lelouch could probably make her forget. And since she didn't remember even getting the order, Hitomi wouldn't remember that Lelouch had done anything to her. Euphie told herself to try and find her brother afterwards, to ask him if he would do it.

"I'm sorry. Maybe talking about it will help. So someone else knows what you went through."

"I'm not sure...." Hitomi's voice was shaky. She took a deep breath and steeled her nerves- maybe Euphie was right...maybe talking about it would help.

"There's...a doctor on campus. He took me from the track field and chained me up in a chapel- I...really don't want to go into details on what happened in there. But, he did it all to gain Lelouch's attention....i-if Lelouch hadn't shown up when he did..." Her speech trailed off as she curled in on herself and began to cry.

She listened and raised an eyebrow. Hitomi had been hurt...just to get Lelouch's attention? Euphie had come here to escape people who used others like pawns to get their way. But there was apparently no escape.

The princess held Hitomi close and lightly stroked her hair. "He hurt me, but he saved you...in the end, it's balanced out."
