Euphie decided that, since Hitomi said the campus therapist was a nice person, she would also pay her a visit. There were a lot of things she could think about, or say about, but heaviest on her mind was how guilty she could tell Lelouch felt about the pain he'd caused her and other people.
Nervously, she knocked on Yuuko's door and stood outside, hoping she was in at the moment.
Yuuko was lying on her couch, sipping sake and reading some yaoi when she heard the knock on her door. The Gilliam knew by now to answer the door, and as it swung open, a very cute girl with pink hair entered the room. Marking her place in the manga so she wouldn't lose her spot, Yuuko put down the book, sat up, and asked the girl, "Please come in."
She looked confused when the door opened until she spotted one of the purple Gilliams. Euphie wasn't completely used to the robots yet, but they didn't bother her like they did some of her classmates. The princess stepped in, smiled a little at the woman inside, and looked for a place to sit.
Yuuko smiled at the girl with pink hair. "So, what is your wish?"
Euphie blinked a couple of times. Her wish? Without really thinking, she spoke. "For my brother Lelouch to stop feeling guilty over things he couldn't control."
Yuuko stopped smiling and finished her cup of sake. "Guilt is a necessary feeling. It helps teach us not to make the same mistakes that we have in the past." Leaning forward, she looked deep into the girl's eyes and saw the pain she was feeling for this brother of hers. Sitting back, she sighed. "Every wish has a price. Are you willing to pay?"
"He's learned, but it still hurts him. I forgive him, I don't want him to keep hurting." Euphie looked back at the strange woman, obviously upset from simply thinking about it. "I'll pay whatever I have to." She didn't find it strange that the wish to come out hadn't been directly related to herself.
Yuuko stood up over the pink-haired girl and started granting the wish. The room went dark, almost pitch black except for the all too familiar circle of light that surrounded her client. The light became more and more intense, and was soon bright enough to light the entire room as if the sun itself was inside. After a second or two, the light suddenly vanished, and the room returned to normal. "Your wish is granted."
Euphie wasn't completely sure that it was possible for someone to grant that wish, but after knowing what Lelouch was capable of, anything seemed possible. Her heart jumped up nervously when Yuuko stood up and she felt too nervous to move as the room, outside that circle of bright light, became black.
As things became more normal again, she felt her head aching a bit and Euphie winced when she thought she heard gunshots and screams inside her mind. Was this what she'd forgotten? "What did you do?" she asked, voice shaky.
Sitting back down and filling her cup up with more sake, she replied to the girl's question. "I granted the wish that you paid for. Mind you, the payment wasn't light. Your brother put you under a spell once, and although you didn't remember it, you did a terrible thing while under it. It was the nature of the spell that you wouldn't remember what you had done."
She touched her chest, hand pressed against where her dress covered her scars. "So I'm remembering? He told me what he made me do...that's most of what he felt bad about." If remembering was the price, Euphie felt that she could handle it.
Yuuko smiled at the girl again. She had a very strong spirit. "May I ask what the name is of this adorable girl sitting in front of me?"
Euphie tried to smile, but it was hard with the memory of that day at the stadium returning. "My name is Euphemia li Britannia."
Yuuko got up and showed Euphemia to the door. "Well, you know where I am. Come back if you need my assistance."
"Thank you." Euphie slowly walk towards the door and opened it. Hopefully this worked and Lelouch would really feel better, even if that meant her feeling worse for a while.
