Comic-con is crazy. If you've got this chance, please go. My friends and I lived off grocery store food the week we were there. Buy the tickets and jump on the first hotel room you can find. I'm sure you won't have to pay $1000 a night like we did. lololol. And of course, take transit to the con centre.
