Elections

Is it just me or are these mid-term elections providing more ads, attention, news stories etc than usual?

I wonder if I'm just paying more attention to them than I used to or what...

No, I think you are actually seeing more than usual. There's a lot more money out there and a lot more hate

I certainly agree about the hate. It seems as if both parties are more and more interested in staying in power and less and less interested in running the country/state/town/whatever.

I'm a HUGE fan of term limits.

I agree on term limits, but the question is always what do you set them at? I'm of the opinion that it would be nice to have one term for any office, maybe 6 years and just stagger them so you only lose a 3rd or maybe even a 6th of congress at a time. I think you should also do it with the presidency.

That way, maybe we can eliminate the whole voting for reelection stuff.

I agree. I especially like the idea of EVERY single year's election meaning something - so the 6 year terms and staggered so that there is 1/6 turnover every year is a great idea.

Someone get Karl Rove and James Carville on the phone. We can fix it!

You and John have the right idea. Term limits would do amazing things for WV.

And sorry it has taken me so long to post to anything. I haven't been on much lately. And the phone is ringing again...ugh....I never get a break. =)
