I'm not well-versed in physics at all, heck I was never good at the theory, only the practical when I took it. But I can still give you ideas, right? :)
Obviously, you've thought about the gravity aspect. So, hmm... how about the actual apparatus they use during rock climbing? The ropes, etc. The forces that work against that. Then there's the energy required to haul one's body upwards. Erm, also hammering those pegs into the rock face would fall into physics. I can't say specifics because it's been a loooong time since I took it. :P
