In a recent interview RJD2 has the following explanation for the new direction some of his production is taking for his upcoming release:

"Maybe it's kind of like if King Crimson went to a therapist, and came out really happy and optimistic about the world, and was just walking around giving out hugs and shit."

I love that imagery.  RJD2 cracks

haha! I still have a hard time imagining what a RJD2 version of a happy Krimson would sound like...but it does make you really curious.
