synergy is rad. I've used it to have a windows box on one monitor and a linux box on the other, w/ a single keyboard and mouse. seemed a lot less hairy to get configured than vnc.

I'd never heard of Synergy until now. I started using x2vnc a long time ago and while it's not always a nice system I've just gotten used to how it works. However, my KVM just showed up and now I'm not broadcasting every keystroke over the network. (Speaking of hairy configurations, trying configuring OpenSSH on Windows with Cygwin and then piping VNC over an SSH socket to the Linux system...and then magically making that happen every time the system starts up on both sides...good times)
