"Double tall 1.5 pump raspberry no vanilla half-dry soy caramel macchiato light whip" right on the second try.

Right on, the second try.

Right? On the second try?

Right on the second! Try!

I'm a bit be-buzzled. Zoom! Perhaps I shouldn't have consumed both attempts. Is it warm in here?

They had a bit on the news about how your coffee order represents your personality...
I think the WAY you order might represent your personality...
Can I just ask why there is such a need to be so exacting??? I'm still lost... I baristiaded (if that's a word...) for six months... and people are just so particular... does that half a pump really matter???

Sorry I have offically lost it... this was supposed to be a short comment, my point... I'm glad you enjoyed your coffee.

That half a pump is due to Starbucks' specification, not mine - I used to say "half sweet" because I wanted half the usual sugar. That, however, led to confusion as to the amount of caramel added at the end, and I was then advised that the syrup is added in three equal pumps, so what I "really meant" according to them was "one and a half pump". That is what and why I say now. :)

And really, the better the coffee the less exacting the order. At my local SuperAwesomeCoffeeJoint™ I simply order a spiced mocha, soy. And it's PERFECT. Every time. Also, not burnt. Good coffee. Mmm.

Holy cow, Starbucks should give little workshops on "How to Order 101."

I think it's something that evolves. Over time you decide you like things a little different or, in this kind of case, you're just trying to construct something that is tolerable, interesting to the palate, and doesn't taste like a milkshake.

Just hanging out in a busy metropolitan Starbucks during the morning rush a couple of times provides almost exactly the kind of workshop you're talking about, though. :)
