My parents had poly relationships. It's not a big deal or unusual to me, but it is interesting to see people's reactions who aren't used to it. Some judge from the perspective of sex only and not relationship. Much in the same way homosexuals are looked at. For some reason, people only see the bedroom and not the life outside of it.
As an addendum, I don't understand why more people don't look at polyamorous relationships as an cost-of-living alternative. Maybe they do, but the idea is too taboo?
Really good observation. I have friends who are poly and I have to admit it kinda threw me off at first, but once I hung out with said friends and realized it wasn't about the sex, I felt okay with it, even good. I saw intelligent and caring people supporting each other and I was glad that it worked for them. Just wish everyone was live and let live.
