I just learned that Mike Schweizer, AKA Orange-shirt-Mike of conpix.net has passed-away after battling cancer for sometime.  ;_

He was such a great guy, he will be missed...Cons won't be the same without him. My heart goes out to his loved ones.

I will most definitely miss him. He was a great asset to the anime/sci-fi/fantasy convention community and a good friend behind in the scenes in the press areas for many years.

He always took the time to come to my stuff when I debuted the big props and stuff and I thanked him profusely for coming out to take pictures when I certainly couldn't. And yet, I feel a great sense of regret that I never made the time to get to know him better even just a nice chat other than the usual press chit-chat we always did every year.

Again, he will be missed greatly~
