Although I have gleaned many useful bits from your journal, none are as meaningful as this whole French teacher first name thing. I never knew. If I ever meet a French teacher, you have saved me from making the same faux pas.

They did not express any anger towards the US. They did not throw their books at me. Just mostly curious about how a real live American felt about the war.
