Some folks are worrying about the pro-Karadzic rally going on in Belgrade. Back in February an anti-Kosovo demonstration disintegrated into the usual fare (arson, smashing things, looting). Well, it seems you can watch today's rally unfold live and in real time on this Belgrade web cam!:

My point is that such melodramatic words turn the news up to an unnecessary 11; convey no useful information to the reader; and, in creating a false sense of severity, ultimately risk desensitizing readers.
