Can anyone recommend a hotel in Cinque Terre or any of the sister cities?

It was very affordable, although not an actual hotel in and of itself. rather they put us up in an apartment/room that seemed to be part of someone's house, sort of like an airbnb kind of thing. It was very nice though, and since we weren't spending our time in the room (we were out exploring) we didn't have any issues. It was a bit of a hike to the room though. I booked it on hostelworld.com.

Also not sure when you're planning to visit but be aware that they had some avalanches there recently so some of the walking trails are closed off - only 2 are open, the ones on the very ends. The towns are fine just the walking trails are closed off. I'm not sure when they will be open again, like I said I was just there last week though so it might be a few months.

I stayed with these folks as well. As the previous poster said, it's not precisely a hotel, but rather it's a company that owns various properties around Riomaggiore which they let out to holidaymakers. The one my friends and I stayed in was high up on the hillside and therefore a bit of a hike, but the views were amazing. Still, you might want to be somewhat circumspect if you're bringing a lot of heavy luggage with you.
