A pretty good weekend

Friday at work was good. It was the last day of a good friend of mine, which was kinda sad as I'd really gotten used to having him around (I've not been working here that long after all). But it did mean there was lots of silliness and a big pub outing for lunch. Friday evening was then spent watching My Name is Earl with jinx_lbc, and getting beaten at ( Read more... )

I've just put them on now. It's really quite an odd sensation! I like it though. I can see me getting quite attached to these! :)

Will do. :) (I'm tempted to go on a short run on the bike in them, just to see what it's like!)

I got them here: http://www.purefootwear.co.uk/vibram-fivefingers-five-fingers-kso-shoe-prod21020/

But I got them just before their prices went up, and when they had a discount offer on Vibram products. So I actually got them for £72. Shop around a bit and you may be able to find them cheaper, but if you do want to get them here, let me know as I have a 10% discount voucher for them now. :)

I could never ever wear those "shoes" because I can't stand having anything between my toes. Flip-flops are already bad, this would just be ridiculous.

Well, no. If that's the case then you really wouldn't want these! Personally though, I'm loving them so far! Really comfy, and so much cooler than normal shoes. :)

Yeah, chocojon has had a pair for a while and I think finds them quite useful. Definitely more for softer terrain though as apparently you can feel more or less everything through the sole; tarmac is not so comfy.

Yarr, I got them with 'nature' mostly in mind. For my walks around hils and forests, for beaches, and for climbing. I certainly don't intend them for 'every-day' type footwear.

Though in this type of weather I may wear thema bit more often. So cool and comfy...

I thought you'd be first on my f-list to watch Blood... sounds like it'll be worth a trip to the cinema, cheers for the advice, bub!

Took the day off work today, and went along to the cinema to watch Blood. I was the only person there :) There was a lot of ludicrous blood-splatters.
