As I add each panel to the skirt of the gown I'm making, I begin to realise that once I finish it, I might not be able to walk for the weight of it. I think this is likely to be the only thing I ever make out of heavy brocade.

Also, I think it's a Sunday morning dress. The pattern is a bit eye watering...

I think it's nicer than wearing my current Sunday outfit, with the finely striped, eye wateringly bright, rainbow striped yelek.
