Wibble. Spent all day working on my graphics portfolio and making thumbnails. Was very tedious and boring, not to mention pointless because who would care, anyway? (besides showing it off to various peoples...)

shezan also very fairly pointed out the similarities in settings and characters in BF and Speedball to alexmalfoy's work. I don't know what to do with ( Read more... )

I've also been suffering from mild paranoia and convinced that some of you hold some sort of secret grudge against me that I don't know about. If you do, please let me know so we can work it out.

I do. Unfortunately, I'm also paranoid and am not at liberty to say what the grudge is about. I always knew somebody'd be onto me, and your post just proves that they are watching. Let's just call a truce and go into denial together, eh?

I don't know what to do with Speedball, only that I don't think I'm ever finishing that fic. Maybe I should take it down? It really is a sham of a fanfic, anyway, having next to nothing to do with the HP universe except similarities in names and coincidental similarities in characterization. I should change the names around and show it to my RL friends to scare them.

Well, there are differences too; it's really the settings and the premises more than your style or plot. Your stuff is definitely more noir than Alexmalfoy's; less sentimental, too.

(BTW I have emailed at the addresses listed in your UserInfo my answer to your Private Owl; the 1000-chars limit at Fiction Alley was driving me nutters.)

Thanks so much for your thoughts - they've really given me a lot to think about. Which is something I'm rather out of practice in. :D

It just bothers me a little that Speedball is, at its heart, an original fic with familiar names and hair colors. Which rather defies the point of fanfiction. I don't think I'm going to lose sleep over it, though. :)

And that was one long, interesting email. Let me take awhile to reply to it properly.
