I'm glad denise_dinc still partially translates Ohno's radio show on twitter ( @ohnodiscovery) because I would be lost without that man for real ♥

"and that was Ohno Satoshi who fell asleep after he drank a cup (alcohol) while admiring that painting"

Absolutely stunning!! That's a gorgeous picture, you have so much talent, though I bet you get that all the time.

His hair looks amazing! And all of the subtle shades in his skin are so well done.

Thank you so much!! I actually don't get that all the time because I'm often very shy to post anything to the comms. It makes me really happy to get comments like this :)

Thank you so much!!! Whenever I set out to paint Ohno, his lips are the hardest part for some reason, and it often goes horribly awry when I attempt them. I was excited that this one turned out for once!

PS I always love your icons <3 I think i have some of the Ohno ones saved because they are always so beautiful

I actually find Painter a bit easier to use for this kind of thing because you can blend the colours so much easier, though if you have CS5 they have a lot more updated features for this kind of painting.

I use an Intuos 3 Tablet (by wacom<3) Your computer labs at school should have little bamboo tablets that you could try out, or if you wanted to pick one up at future shop or best buy or something I think they are under 100$ They don't have nearly as much pressure sensitivity as the Intuos ones but they are good for getting the feel of the tablet which is tricky at first.

You should definitely try one out, I use it about 70% of the time when I'm doing regular design work, it's fantastic for both photoshop and Illustrator work

Thank you BB. The tablets take some getting used to but I'm confident you can do it
