It is a good point, symbolically it could help. Vampires, possibly. But electronics are all female to me and I want someone/something I like...

Must be what we were saying about SPN. Can't be a lady and be superpowerful without being an incarnation of evil, don't be ridiculous!

I have female characters I love but I don't like their names, for the most part (Veronica Mars, Alicia Florick, Kalinda Sharma). The ones I do like I already used (Micah, Katniss), I'd go for Verena (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120692/) but I have a friend called that so...
