Reviewers have not been kind to this movie, for obvious sequel reasons, but seriously, very very good.  It's darker than the first and more focused on action, and it has significantly more slime than was needed, but overall so much fun to see, so everyone should go.  Same director, different music guy, btw.  And now I really, really

I must say, I agree with you. I went to see it with my cousins and brother tonight, all said they disliked it a lot. I asked them why, and all they said was that they hated the cliffhanger thing, and it was too long. Overall, I enjoyed it. They could've been more brief with some points and scenes.. but I liked it a lot. And, you're right about the whole fantasy thing; the first one did seem a lot more realistic despite the living dead thing. Umm.. yes. I could ramble on about it, but I'll stop there. :) I was just glad to see I wasn't the only one who enjoyed it.

Oh, you definitely weren't. Most people I went with thought it was great and yeah, while the plot did require (several) leaps of faith and a kind of whatever attitude, it's PotC. Really. This is not a movie where you really analyze the plot. Can't wait till next one :D
