In truth, there may have been more progress made than I initially credited to you. Though it is a change that has taken some time to occur, recent results have shown some improvement ( Read more... )

Such a straight-forward offering. How kind of you.

The catch?

I suppose it should be little surprise that such a question was asked of me so early. There is none; rather, I simply wish to observe what happens after removal.

One learns to see the disadvantages even in advantages such as these. Raw materials are at least capable of that much, on occasion.

It would be such a shame if you ended up without much of a show. I'm guessing you'd like details? Or would that spoil the surprise?

[ awww almost definitely sarcastic use of his favorite term. how kind. ]

It is expected to have some skepticism regarding the offer. However, I assure you that my intentions are quite simple in this case.

I also do expect that if there would be little to gain from removal of the chip, that they would not bother to go to the trouble.

Any detail beforehand would, of course, be appreciated, due to the prevalence of those with powers bordering on the destructive.

Wish I could help but hehe...well....um. I'm not a doctor myself.

I require no assistance, other than the allowances made by any volunteers.

I fail to see your meaning there....

Your wish to "help" somehow... it is unnecessary.

Yes, the inhabitants of this city.

I assume you are also considered a "raw material", then.

In the eyes of the scientists, perhaps.

[ he has a knack for that, i think. ]

Hello, sir. Er...my name's Luke, and I have a question...

You seem to really understand what's going on with these chips. Could you please explain? Everyone I've asked seems to have some idea, but can't tell me everything.

I have some knowledge of them; however, my aim is to better understand them. Therefore, I am unable to provide a full explanation for the time being.

What is known so far is that these chips suppress any powers deemed superhuman, and their removal, naturally, allows use of them after some period of recovery.

What powers would the chip deem superhuman?

Talents granted through means unrelated to typical human evolution-- strength above that of a human's, any magical abilities, and the like. To ask the raw materials here shows a wide variety of these powers. However, it is still unknown how the chip functions, making it difficult to understand its limits.

CAN YOU FIX WATER HEATERS AND/OR HOOK UP WASHING MACHINES?

No, my capabilities are unrelated to that field.

OH.

WELL WHAT CAN YOU DO?

I am offering my services as more of a doctor, I suppose.
