My cell phone service was unceremoniously disrupted on Monday morning. Most likely I'll be getting it turned on Friday afternoon. So if anyone's been trying to reach me and they can't, I'm sorry. Don't worry. I'm still around.
This week is insanely busy, which is cool. That's the way I like it. Things have been a little boring for my taste.
Just got the first issue of "Quit City" and the fist volume of the trade paperbacks of "Planetary" by
warren_ellis as a gift from a dear friend. Still haven't gotten the last volume of the trade paperbacks of "Tranmetropolitan". Every time I check at the comics shop, and I've checked at three places, they're fresh out.
I had the most charming conversation yesterday with
Tobias Hunter, a photographer from Brighton, England I'm shooting with for a very interesting sounding project he's working on. He's taking the concept of cultural icons and putting them in circus related scenarios. I had a great time talking to him. He's been all over the world. It's funny how everyone I've been friends with from Europe has done a ton of traveling. Californians don't get out as much, it seems. I've been feeling a bit cooped up myself lately.
I had a job interview for a secretarial job today. I think it went well. I've got another one tomorrow. Wish me luck.
