I turned 25 yesterday. Typically, I don't consider my birthdays to be that big of a deal. All I expect is well wishes from friends and family and perhaps a present or two (or cash) from said family. And that's fine with me, really, it is. But this year things were a little... different.
Today, I was woken up at around 3PM to get ready to go eat somewhere. I was told about this, so it wasn't a surprise or anything. Ended up going to Margaritaville over in Universal Studio's Citywalk. Overall, it was nice. I mean, free restaurant food, come on. If that was all I would get, I would've also been fine that.
After we were done with our food, we walked around the place, took in the sights and that kind of stuff. Then we started walking towards the theater where Blue Man Group held their performances. I didn't think much about this, since I thought "Oh, maybe they want to find out ticket information and come back some other time." So we reached the box office, I stood around while my mom actually... got in line. I didn't think it was weird, since my mom can be a bit of a derp at times. At that point, though, I asked: "Uh, you getting in line just to see how much it is?"
That's when she told me "Surprise!"
My instant reaction was "Wait, what."
At that moment things sort of fell into place, though I was still shocked on the outside while on the inside I was all "OH MY GOD AM I REALLY GONNA SEE BLUE MAN GROUP?! AAAAAH"
Here is a picture I snuck after the show was done:
As for the show itself, it was utterly amazing. That's all I can really think to say about it.
