Love and compassion for yourself. And shutting up that howler monkey, know-it-all, bitch in your head that keeps kicking you while you're down. I think mother's and father's often cultivate said howler monkey, so what is the advice to the mothers of the world? How do we help a young ego-maniac plagued with self doubt build the proper capacities for self love and forgiveness?
Another freaking growth opportunity

I am also a knight errant and feel like the burden is too much. I hope I will learn to accept my task with compassion, but right now I have too much anger. I am struggling to understand this anger, instead of rejecting it. If you have any ideas: I'm all ears. Thanks for being a good soundboard. Love you much. Peace.

Dr Gottman claims to have empirically determined the answer to this. Never had a kid to test it on. (Except for the one in my head.)
