June & July's a great time for Greece, especially for a couple, before the uber-crowds of August - Sept. Depends on if you're going to party islands or the reclusive ones. Looks like you're set for late Sept.

Morocco's hard to "do" in 1.5 weeks -- get out of Casablanca ASAP, in my experience, it tends to sour one's views of the country -- Fes, Marrakesh & Essouira and the desert in the East frontier are really cool (from Erfoud into the Dunes du L'Erg Chebi). It takes a lot of time; use the shared taxis to go high speed in an old BMW, with maybe 7 or 8 other people. not joking.

Everyone skips Slovakia . . . my wife is Slovak, I lived there 3 years.

If you go through Manila, you can grab a Continental flight to Palau, and visit (of course, my contract ends October 7, so who can promise anything?) You're always welcome . . . .

We actually ended up switching things around for flight reasons and we would be in Greece in the early summer, just as you suggested!
Our time in Morocco is just a best guess, luckily the airlines allow us to leave our dates open, so this was just a starting suggestion. I heard form many people to avoid Casablanca!

Do you need any travel guides? I could probably get you some National Geographic ones.

Reallly? That would be so kind of you! If they are small and not too heavy, I would love to look at the ones for the first stops on our trip: Mexico, Peru, Brazil.

We just came out with a new Peru guide- I think Mexico is also recent. Don't think we have Brazil. However, they aren't small- Amazon says 8.4 x 5.2 x 0.9 inches and 1.2 pounds. Still interested? send me an email- heatherosejansen at gmail dot com.

This year is very profitable to visit Ukraine (East Europe, former USSR). Because of crisis currency exchange approx. 1USD = 10 UAH. It's pretty european country, not wild as a lot of people think. Doesn't need visa to visit it. www.bestofukraine.com

Hiya friend! Thanks for finding my LJ. I'm sad to report that though I used to use LJ as my primary blog, I've abandoned it pretty much since launching F&J. I wish I had more time to still keep it up - LJ is such a cool community.
I'll add you so we can keep in touch, but I'm not sure when there'll be any new posts :(
