Spent the weekend playing WoW, knitting, and watching Battlestar.  I'm 4 bars from 80, the happy owner of a new sock (not a pair, just the one), and we've got 3 episodes left in season 4 (.0) of BSG.  I lurve me some crazy Starbuck ( Read more... )

OH MY GOD STARBUCK IS AMAZING.

I have become completely obsessed with Katee Sackhoff since getting into BSG a couple months ago... but I cannot find a good icon for LJ, sadly.

AND NEW EPISODE ON FRIDAY! EEEEEE! I will watch it Saturday night as I can't download it until after it's aired, and I don't want to watch it during the day and have a glare. I AM SO EXCITED.

Okay, I just love the fact that you have your viewing all planned out, including factoring in environmental concerns. :D

I just watched Sine Qua Non last night - definitely the low point of the season. Starbuck was sane again, and Romo Lampkin (while a neat character) was totally superfluous. Still not as bad as Black Market, though. :)

Did you see Katee in Bionic Woman ages ago? I only watched the first episode (which made it clear the show would be cancelled soon), but she was pretty good as Starbot. or maybe that would be Starbionic, though it doesn't have the same ring.

Ah yes, Sine Qua Non is next up on my list for my season 4 re-watch. I think my least favorite of season 4 though is Escape Velocity... because Starbuck is only in it for about three seconds in the end when they show her asleep at her desk. It is my firm belief that episodes sharply decrease in quality when they lack Katee Sackhoff. ;)

I agree about Black Market though. The whole episode I was like, what the crap? I just read though that it's Ron Moore's most hated episode too though, so I feel vindicated, lol.

I did indeed see Bionic Woman! I watched the entire series in hopes of Sackhoff glimpses. Sadly, she was not in every episode, and the ones she was in, she was only in briefly. It was very disappointing. As was the show in general...

I have also watched Halloween: Resurrection and White Noise 2 and a disappointing number of Robot Chicken episodes in search of the two she was in. And I saw the Law and Order episode she was in. And I am currently in search of many others. As I said, obsessed. *halo*

Your fandom scares me, just a little bit. :) I'm not sure I could force myself to watch Halloween: Resurrection just for a glimpse of Katee.

Do you read Television Without Pity? The guy who covers BSG, Jacob, is a bit too in love with the sound of his own typing, but he's ocassionally very insightful and funny. His recap of "The Woman King" (which, IMO, is right down there with "Black Market") was great. Jacob argued that the episode's writer (Michael Angeli, who also wrote BM) changed Helo's character so much that it was no longer Helo - it was the HeloSuit. The recap is filled with references like "and then the HeloSuit went and had a fight with Admiral Adama" and "and then the HeloSuit slaps at Helo's wife's ass."

Oh, and if your taste runs to other badass women, the actress who played Kendra Shaw in Razor has turned up a fair amount in season 2 of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Same badass character, just fighting a different kind of sentient machine.
