ST Movie Thoughts

Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home
So I finally got around to watching Star Trek 4! It really is so much fun. There really aiming for light-hearted moments since film 3 and this one I found really amusing. Especially after the emotional rollercoaster that was film 2 and 3 (I was crying over the Enterprise in 3!).
The characters have some great lines:
“I do not wish to be shot down on the way to our own funeral”- Chekov
“You mean I have to die to discuss your insights in death?” - McCoy, Lol.
Sleeping/Loosing consciousness through sling shot effect? What? “Naked time” & “Tomorrow is Yesterday” anyone?
Oh come on, your kidding me, you expect to find that the Klingon ship will remain undetected in the middle of the park. Agreed you have the cloaking device, but seriously kid playing footy bumps into invisible wall? No?
I quite like their exaggerated interactions and the comments on 20th centaury earth. Most amusing.
Lol, to Chekov walking around quite loudly asking for “nuclear wessels”! how he mangaes not to get to captured earlier, I don’t know.
Scotty- glass chemistry- changing history anyone? Ah McCoy does comment on it and with a bit of hand-waving it suddenly doesn’t matter!
Spock “One damn minute Admiral”, I must admit I had a moment of surprise, even with the preceding scenes, most amusing.
That’s about it. I really enjoyed movie. I was reluctant to start watching them all, but now I can’t wait to see what happens next.
