Very amusing ;-) However ..... to be geeky about it ....
Jesus was a prophet of a world-to-come, in which all the incidental vissicitudes of this world are an irrelevant sideshow. The Roman empire would be swept way, and the evil powers would be finally subdued.
Of course this didn't happen, but the Church long maintained its indifference to natural science - life in this world was merely a prelude, not the main show.
