I love plants so much! Why must they crumple, wilt, blacken, and fail at the merest sight of my face?
I have learned to avoid seeds, though. I feel like a mass murderer every time I try, as though each frail shoot that dips in melancholy is my personal responsibility. What do you want? More light? Less light? More water? Dear GOD don't give them any more water? *runs around from pot to pot, panicked and anxious* Here I sing a song, here I offer thoughts of strength and resiliency....and still, I am surrounded by sickly looking plants, each silently begging me to just end it, put them out of their misery.
And then my mom takes them for a weekend and they instantly rally, mocking me by blooming into good health, leaves the size of my head.
I know!! Every so often I will find one species or two that will grow for me, and then I get all hopeful.. or something will do really well one year and I buy lots of them next year and they all die. Sigh.
I have a black thumb, I can kill fake plants. But my mom has always said the foolproof option is marigold seeds, so having a big old pot of marigolds may buoy your spirits :) If not, there's always "Chia Herb Garden!" lol
hah, I feel your pain. When we moved in our realtor brought us some tulip bulbs and I was doubled over in laughter after he left like "what do you want me to do with these? Lob them at passing cars?"
I keep meaning to get a paid account to post pictures and such. She got fixed last week and it didn't faze her a bit. And my brick with feet analogy was correct! To look at her, she's maybe half Zedd's size...but she weighs 8 pounds!!! Piglet. It's my last week of class this quarter though so I may not have time until next week :)
I don't have a paid account either, I just use www.imageshack.us and use the 'insert image' thing to do it! Or you can just email me pix of her, too. Teshi is long and lean and a little @#&* as far as getting into EVERYTHING!
