Unfortunately, this is more common than we like to think. Many anti-gay organizations have learned to go underground to avoid bad publicity, but they are there, like a cancer waiting to emerge at the first opportunuity. One of these groups is The Way, International (TWI). Purporting to be a "biblical research and study group", TWI is nothing short of a cult. They teach that Statan seduced Eve in the form of a woman, and that homosexuality is the "original sin" which is "worse than murder". In the 1990's, TWI went on a witch-hunt against gays in tehri organization and proudly reported "We have flushed homosexuals and 'homo' fantasizers and sympathizers out of our Way Corps and Staff." A former president told a gay-rights group "You had bettre be glad you ren't living in Old Testament times. You'd be hung from the nearest tree and I'd be holding the rope." The scary thing is that TWI has "branches" all over the world. Here in South Florida they are in every community. Members are far from looking like religious "looneys".
