Sounds like an elopin' song to me.

Of course, I'm not at all familiar with Evanescence, so I place those lyrics against good ol'-fashioned fiddle "escape" music. Y'know, the kind you play in the truck as you and your elopin' bride hustle out of town while her dad chases in a tractor with a shotgun firing at your head.

Um, yes it's an we're-running-away-together (don't know if they intend to get get married (it's a duet) but I don't think that there are any fathers on tracktors with shotguns...Just a hunch, though.
