He died

...this morning at 5 AM. He actually had a series of strokes, not just one. He was completely brain dead...didn't even blink when they dragged a Q-tip across his eyes. So they took him off the respirator Friday morning. Should have done it Thursday, but Grandma wanted to wait...Neither of them ever had much sense

I'm sorry...my uncle who lives in Venezuela died Friday night...and while that may not be the same as a grandfather (whom I lost last August), it is saddening none the less.
