Crazed herring gull of doom

For the past week and more, my sleep and peace have been disturbed by a herring gull. It can strike at any window of my flat any time during the hours of daylight, which at midsummer here means from about 3am to 10pm. Oh my. That is one persistent gull. Might it help to cover the windows with something from the inside temporarily (curtains, blinds, something like that - or even plain old cardboard or paper) so that the gull might lose interest to get inside at least when you are asleep?

String up some old CDs; I use them to scare off the corvus coraxes in our garden, they hate the light reflexes. Maybe it will work for gulls as well. That's one scary beast, but still, that's a genius video. Gem's expression is priceless, I think he seriously doesn't get that there's a giant beak outside the window!

Not to support his vanity, but what a beautiful cat!

What a gorgeous cat. I love the way he flops (or attempts to) infront of the gull... as though he wants to be friends!

That said, sorry that the little b'stard is disturbing you!
