I've been doing this temp project downtown since the beginning of the month, and now they are offering me a full-time position. I am really, really thrilled about this and more than a little relieved.

So now to learn how to actually use public transportation...after all, I do live in Portland, for crying out loud. This is the city that got me ok

I'm not holding out hope for the Democrat thing, though -- after all, living in Texas never made a Republican out of me. Quite the opposite!

Ah Portland, land of the world's best bookstore, Powell's. I miss Powell's, though not as badly as when we lived in Iowa - land of no bookstores whatsoever (at least near me).
