I had tinnitus for several months in high school. Eventually it just went away on its own, but it might have been caused by a sinus infection I had. Problem is, I have no idea when the infection started so it's all a bit mysterious. However, an ENT should be able to diagnose a sinus infection if that's your problem.

Last time I had an inner ear issue (dizziness), I was told that it was the result of a mild ear infection and it would go away on its own. It took a few months but it did go away. It's obviously not tinnitus, but I mention it because your GP mentioned Flonase, which is what the Vaden doctors wanted to prescribe me to make sure I didn't have any allergic/sinus issues aggravating the infection. (After exhaustively determining that I wasn't pregnant, of course. I wonder if all college campus doctors assume that their female patients are pregnant?)

My ears start to ring at random points, like they'll suddenly plug up, all i can hear is the ring, and in a few seconds it goes away. I'm pretty sure it has to do with my low blood pressure tho b/c it's that same lack of hearing you get when you stand up and your head goes all woogy and you're like "Damn, i hope i don't faint, stupid blood pressure"
