Ok, yesterday as I was leaving the apartment I saw a praying mantis right next to the door. I know they are supposed to be harmless, but yuck! This thing is probably 3-4 inches long, and it just STARES at me. If I move, you can see it's head turn to follow my movement. OK, I think when I last updated it was the first day of taking my HIV-preventative meds. I ended with the statement I felt like I was going to be sick. I was. I was sick for a week. Sick as a dog. So my mom is having surgury this morning, and I'm worried. I called my dad's cell phone and was able to speak to her just as they were about to wheel her out of her room. She had that gastric bypass years ago, and now that she lost all the weight she has to have a surgury today to remove all the extra skin that was left behind. She was supposed ( Read more... )

I got a call from my ex fire Chief Steve last night while I was in downtown Indy walking to the baseball game. He told me that the the wife of the previous Chief had died from cancer, and that the funeral was this morning at 11 in Urbana.
