In which I take forever to get to the point.

Poindexter recently reorganized the office (AGAIN) because he finally got rid of our 20+ year old couch that he bought for me back when we first started dating. Because on my first trip to visit him in California I wanted to have the option of sleeping on the couch. Just in case, you know. The option. It turned out to be a super comfy couch (for ( Read more... )

Is it trumpet vine, do you think? My mom always planted it for the hummingbirds. They seem to like it: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/trumpet-vine/hummingbirds-and-trumpet-vines.htm

I love trumpet vine!! I wonder if I could plant it in the box. It's kind of an invasive weed, isn't it? So it should be easy to grow. :P Although a garden lady told me there's something similar, called crossvine, that's less invasive.

This plant has much smaller and brighter/redder blooms -- I Googled a bit and I think it's a cigar plant or something similar. It doesn't have many blooms, though. I'll keep giving it Miracle Gro and see if I get more. In case the hummingbird never finds the feeder. :P

There is a tray of cookies in front of you. Off to the side there is a something that looks vaguely cookie shaped and is filled withsome that might be sugar or something. Which do you go for? By the way you are Cookie Monster.

It took me a minute to figure out this analogy because I left out an important piece of information in the post: the cigar plant has very few blooms on it. Like, maybe five. So it's more like, he has a giant plate with a couple teeny weeny little cookies on it, or the giant cookie-like thing. I am hoping he discovers it rather than abandon my window box completely!
